I work with cut paper, printmaking, fabric and fun tools to make cool stuff. I think about positive and negative shapes, and the lines where they intersect when I am working on art. Imagery I like to think about includes the ocean, thunderstorms, mechanical objects, cats, books, history and childhood memories.
When I am not blogging here I blog at the Bazaar Bizarre Boston with a bunch of other artists in the Small Craft Advisory. We run events for Boston-area artists and crafters because we love it! I am a studio artist at the Washington Street Art Center in Somerville. During the day I help scientists conduct cancer research at a local non-profit organization.
